Day 14: Psalm 119:105-112
The familiar words of v. 105 read a little differently to me now that I have spent two weeks in this chapter. It is not just one verse by itself, but a piece of the overall picture. A part of the constant reminder that I need to be reading and following and always learning what God has set forth for us. As believers, we have taken an oath to follow God’s laws, and we do that willingly while offering him praise and thanks.
I have loved the time spent in prayer this week, and I have really had moments when I could hear God talking to me clearly. I know what He wants from me, and I keep praying to not forget and to take action, make changes and follow. I also am excited about our time of fellowship this evening, and I’m looking ofrward to what Kelly has to tell us about Community. Hope to see you there!

I agree Amy. I think vs. 105 is one of the first ones I ever memorized, and yet today, it has more meaning than when I was a girl in elementary school. His Word truly is a lamp that guides our every action, if we will use it and let it. It will also light our paths if we will turn on the light by reading it and meditating on it. Even though I didn’t fully grasp this as a young girl, the fact that through VBS at church I learned this verse means that I have it in my heart today and can therefore grasp the fuller meaning. I hope our young children are “hiding God’s Word in their hearts” as the Bible teaches, so that they will always have it to guide their lives. I know as an adult, I need to continue to make God’s word a part of my daily life and “hide it”, memorize it, so that I can go to it whenever needed.
