Cell Groups: Every Sunday @ 6:15pm

Small Groups: Every Sunday @ 6:15pm

For deeper connections, Small Groups meet from 6:15-7:15pm, following the TXT3 Experience.

Small Groups meet in Building E1, the building closest to the auditorium.

Here’s a little more about each Small Group Leader and where to find them:

Judy Copple:  E1.201
Hi, my name is Judy Copple. I have been married to Richard for 47 years. We have 3 sons, 7 grandchildren and 3 wonderful daughters in law. We have lived in Georgetown for over 22 years. We were born and raised in Centralia, IL but actually have lived in TX longer than there. We lived in McAllen, TX for 10 years. I love Mexican food. I have a lot of favorite verses. One is Phil.4:13. Rom.8:28 and more. I was head majorette for my high school band and twirled a fire baton at the football games. I play a French horn but have to close the bedroom door because my husband doesn’t get that instrument. He really likes country and western music and that is hard to play on a French horn. I have been saved by Grace and am so thankful to have learned about Jesus saving power real young. I am excited about sharing Jesus in our community.

James and Katrina Cotton:  E1.208
We love being involved with TXT3 and FBCgT!  We both love music, and James even majored in music theory for awhile during college, he feels truly blessed to be playing guitar for FBCgT!

Just a few things we have in common:
> Born and raised in Texas
> Grew up Baptist
> Strong desire to help others
> Lost our way for awhile
> Experienced traumatic events that led us back onto God’s path

James and I love swimming, bowling, watching movies, playing games, just hanging out and laughing! Our favorite pastime is being with family, going on walks (usually with our puppy, Jedi, tagging along), watching flag football games, playing Rock Band, etc. We have a 9 year old son who shares our love of pizza, burgers, pasta, and, above all else, ice cream!

We are so excited to participate in TXT3 and its encouragement of ‘living life together.’ Being open and accepting others, supporting & motivating friends, allowing freedom to question and learn without judgment.  These are simply a few of the reasons we are involved in the TXT3 Cell Groups! We welcome you to the experience and hope to see you Sunday evening!

One of James’ Favorite Bible Verses: 1 Peter 5:6-7 ‘Humble yourselves, therefore under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.’

One of Katrina’s Favorite Bible Verses: Romans 15:7 ‘Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.’

Chuck & Melanie Griffin:  E1.213

Wade & Brittany Liles:  E1.206
If you are looking for a place to share life together, get some accountability partners, or just a place to reflect on and apply what we learned from the TXT3 service, come try out the Liles Cell Group. We are a laid back, informal group that simply has a hunger to learn more about Jesus and how we can live this life for Him. So come join us, regardless of your age or background. We hope to see you Sunday nights following the TXT3.

Doug & Kasie Noble:  E1.209
We are easy-goers who are so thankful to be able to limp through this walk with other believers. (okay, sometimes we swagger, but usually it’s a limp). We are big believers in the ability to grow through discussion + accountability, and really enjoy the learning that comes from a different point of view.

Rae M. Oakes:  E1.216
I love the Lord passionately and am so grateful to be a child of the King! I love spending time in the Word and sharing with others what God is teaching me. I love to talk. For most people this is either a warning or an invitation. As for what I really enjoy doing, adventure activities are my not-so-secret joy, whether it’s skiing, whitewater rafting, or hiking. I also enjoy cooking and entertaining at home. Nothing is more relaxing than visiting with friends and playing games. My favorite food is cheeseburgers. I wish I had a more cultured palate, but at the end of a stressful day, my comfort food of choice is a greasy, rare cheeseburger fresh off the grill. I’m also an avid reader and writer.

Brad & Amanda Reeves: E1.204

Chris & Kelly Stege: E1.218

  • Feeling safe enough to be yourself
  • Accepting each other unconditionally (Romans 15:7)
  • Taking relational risks with one another
